Centre d'interprétation de Baie-du-Febvre

Open year round

Snow goose, barnacle goose, duck… and more!

The Centre d'interprétation de Baie-du-Febvre is part of the Réserve de biosphère du Lac-Saint-Pierre. Inside the center, visitors can find a permanent exhibition, an audiovisual room, vivariums and an aviary, which allow everyone to better appreciate the surrounding fauna, but also to learn more about migratory stops. Nothing surprising in it as Baie-du-Febvre is the most important snow goose migratory stop in North America. Each spring in April, nearly 600,000 snow geese stop at lac Saint-Pierre. About 50,000 barnacle geese join them, as well as thousands of ducks. That is why we use this opportunity to organize the Quebec animal art exhibit, Regard sur l'oie blanche. For a week in April, painters, sculptors, photographs, multidisciplinary artists and food-processing producers meet and share their expertise with tourists.
