The Musée des Abénakis, opened since 1962, is the oldest Amerindian museum in Quebec. It proposes permanent and temporary exhibitions that will allow curious visitors to discover the Abénakis nation. These Amerindians are spiritual people and we can feel it in the objects presented. Did you know that maple products come from the Abénakis? French wanted to know what was running from the maple trees and the Amerindians needed tools French had. They simply bartered!
