The Right Word

Thirty or so writers from Quebec have, one day or the other, lived in Nicolet. Some even used the city as a framework for their books. Pierre Chatillon, a writer himself from Nicolet, decided to pay homage to those writers form Nicolet. To do so, he created a literary park called “L'arbre des mots” in 1998. This park, which lines the Musée des Religions, was finished in 2004. It was layed out so visitors, while strolling in the park, can read texts on panels settled along the path. In addition to the texts, visitors can also admire life-size steel sculptures that represent a novel's excerpt or character.
