The Musée d'Histoire d'Ethnographie et d'Art religieux of Nicolet officially exists since 1986. However, it is only in 1989 that the Ministry of Cultural Affairs grants the museum its accreditation as an exhibition center. In 1991, the museum is officially opened and is accredited as a collection museum. All of these steps in order to offer visitors temporary and thematic exhibitions about religions, their traditions and spirituality. Everyone can discover different artefacts regarding different religious practices, which were collected through the years. But in fact, is a religion necessarily better than another? For the Internet surfers, the section “Les grandes religions” is really worth the clic (only in French). This section is about the wolrd's five main religions and the information is quite rewarding.
