In the municipality of Saint-Ferdinand, there are more than 2,700 inhabitants. During your visit of the area, you will have the chance to observe a number of farms. Some of these farms produce only fruit and vegetables, while others are producers of dairy products or bovine. There are so many trees surrounding the Saint-Ferdinand area that the city takes advantage of a few wood processing companies. Among all these trees are of course numerous maple trees. These trees produce some delicious maple and regional products, which are exported everywhere in Quebec and elsewhere in the world.
Saint-Ferdinand is also a vacation place for many outdoor and relaxation enthusiasts, especially with lake William nearby! Here, visitors are drawn either by the health centres or by the numerous paths. The Spa détente du lac William is the ideal place where to receive a massage or regenerating cares. The place enjoys a great location by the lake, from where you can see the gentle waves brushing the beach…
Around lake William, people can find paths that are very useful for many activities. In summer, you can hike along the paths, while in winter you can do some cross-country skiing of snowmobiling. The rivers are also great for fishing, while in season the forests welcome game hunters.
